Step 36: Experimenting With Your Serve Portions And Only Taking What You Need

Sometimes we buy foods that come in large packs big enough for 6 servings or more. Biscuits are a good example. It’s easy to open a pack and have one, then another, then another. Before you know it the pack is empty.

For this exercise I’d like you to think about foods like the above that you consume during the week. If you have a pack of biscuits in the house and you’re looking for a snack, don’t take the whole pack over to the couch and watch TV. Take out 2-3 biscuits and put the pack back in the cupboard and out of sight. If you feel like going back for more, try drinking a big glass of water instead, or getting up and distracting yourself with a good book or another enjoyable distraction.
