Step 35: Try Putting Your Cutlery Down Between Mouthfuls

This simple trick might prove useful and could help you eat more slowly. After every mouthful I’d like you to put down your knife and fork (or whatever cutlery your holding). Chew your food as normal and once you’ve swallowed, pick up the cutlery and repeat the process.

As well as helping with weight loss, this process helps initiate the digestive system and promotes a feeling of fullness more quickly than merely eating rapidly. By consuming food more slowly you’ll also be able to savour those flavours more effectively.
